The Shivapuri National Park, home to panthers, black bears, jackals and lots of other jungle denizens, is a fabulous place to hear the call of the wild.
For hiking and cycling enthusiasts, the fringes of the valley are a potent magnet – take your pick from a medley of picturesque trails running through verdant woodlands. A not to be missed experience is the hike through Phulchoki or ‘Abode of the Flower’. Also, treat your senses to the overwhelming beauty and tranquillity of the Royal Botanical Gardens at Godawari, one of the most beautiful places in the Kathmandu Valley.
