Arrive in stunning Kathmandu, taking in the scenic mountain views as your plane lands in the valley.
Our colleague assists you with your transfer to your hotel and the remainder of the day is at your leisure.
You might like to wander into Durbar Square and explore its surrounding side streets.
Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, drive to the airport for a short flight to the Bharatpur from where you board your waiting vehicle and drive to Chitwan National Park, known for its incredible population of rare and endangered species. The drive takes approximately three hours and you arrive by afternoon.
In the evening learn about the park’s daily program before enjoying dinner and retiring for the night.

Start the morning with a nature hike along the riverbank of Chitwan National Park spotting native birds and taking in the unspoilt beauty of the surrounding forest.
Later, after breakfast go on a jeep safari through the UNESCO World Heritage Park of Chitwan.
This afternoon enjoy a boat ride on the river as it meanders through this reserve which is home to elephants, rhinoceros, crocodiles and Bengal tigers, plus hundreds of bird species. Disembark and enjoy a serene sunset over chilled drinks or perhaps a hot cup of tea with freshly prepared savory hot snacks before returning back by surface to your Lodge.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic, six-hour drive to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. Known as Nepal’s ‘Birdwatcher’s Paradise”, the reserve is home to a recorded 439 species of birds as well as one of Asia’s few elephant stables. The park contains an ideal mix of river, ponds, wetlands, and paddies, all of it cut by a long straight and paved trail.
On arrival transfer directly to your Lodge and check in.

Before breakfast, take a leisurely nature walk. Thin foliage allows for long-distance viewing and you will see many varieties of different bird species. Later in the day adventure along the Sapta Koshi River by raft for a guided exploration of water and wildlife. An added bonus is the opportunity to spot the endangered arna roam their last habitat. A kind of water buffalo, these black beasts are renowned for the enormous breadth of their horns, and move in herds.
In the afternoon relax over a riverside lunch before spending the rest of the day birdwatching.
Return to your lodge by evening.

Your trip nears its end today as you return to Kathmandu.
Koshi Tappu to Biratnagar Airport is approximately 2 hrs. from where you board your flight to Kathmandu.
On arrival in Kathmandu transfer directly to your hotel.
Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner at the beautifully restored Garden of Dreams. This is one of the city’s most beautiful enclaves and though just a convenient walk from Thamel, the serenity is remarkable.
Return to your hotel after dinner.

After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport for your departing international flight.
